About Me

Hi, I'm Jessica, and I want to be your family's photographer!

Photography has always been a passion of mine. Growing up, my friends could always count on me to be the one who always had her camera. That transitioned into working on the high school yearbook staff, and now to capturing and preserving your family's memories.

In addition to photography, I enjoy video games, traveling, and FOOD. Cake is my favorite food (perhaps this is one reason I love weddings so much), but don't feed me lettuce; I can't stand it! I used to be an avid cosplayer (that means I handmade costumes of my favorite video game/anime/movie characters and wore them to conventions), but now I mostly just enjoy looking at other people's handiwork.

I also adore blogging, so be sure to subscribe to keep up with my ramblings and current photos. And, if I look familiar, it's because I was (am) Ms. Fondue over at Weddingbee.

I'm based in Nashville, Tennessee, but I do love to travel, so don't hesitate to contact me if you live elsewhere. You can find me on Twitter and Facebook, or just email me!

Kadye & Tony – Love Session

Kadye and Tony live in Memphis, but we met up at Montgomery Bell State Park, just outside of Nashville, for an amazing session today. That’s right. Today. I couldn’t wait to blog the teasers. They’ve been dating for over three years but don’t have any decent pictures together. That’s all about to change…

Nashville PUG with Mike Larson

On Monday, over 50 photographers came to the Nashville PUG (Pictage User Group) meeting to hear photographer Mike Larson speak. He talked about building relationships with clients and the importance of having photography supplement your life, not become it. It was a very inspirational talk.

We also had a brief shooting session outside, although the cold weather had us heading back to the warmth of the building after 15-20 minutes.

Here’s a few of the images I shot!

Self Shoot at Cannonsburgh Village

Today’s photoshoot in Crossville got postponed due to heavy rain, so Jonathan and I decided to do a love session. Which is always interesting when you are both the photographer and the subject. There was a lot of setting the timer, running in four inch heels, and then having about half a second to pose. But I was really pleased with the results.

I’m attending a workshop tomorrow with international photographer Mike Larson, so I’ll have some photos from that to post later in the week.
