Several weeks ago, I went on an architecture tour ran by the Nashville Civic Design Center. I don’t know much about architecture, but figured I could get some cool photos nonetheless. Like socks that people have left in the fountains on Legislative Plaza.

Speaking of fountains, it feels nice to dip your feet in them on a hot day. I promise the sock wasn’t hers…

But honestly, it wasn’t too hot. It was actually gorgeous and perfect outside (unlike the weather we’ve been having recently).

Oh, yeah, this was supposed to be about architecture. Hmm…
The Tennessee Tower doesn’t always seem like much to look at, but there’s actually a cool plaza surrounding it.

I don’t remember which building this is, but I loved this angle.

I also found lots of fantastic locations for downtown portrait sessions. Anyone up for one?

My niece Carly and my nephew Alex have birthdays within a month of each other, so my brother and sister-in-law decided to throw a joint party for them this weekend.
Alex will be turning three in a few short weeks. He was very into the party and guarded his cake to make sure no one ate any of it before it was time.

Carly’s birthday is on Tuesday when she will turn a year old. She celebrated by covering herself in green frosting.

Happy birthday, Alex and Carly!

Sabrina and I have been best friends since middle school, so you can understand how sad I was when she moved away to live with her husband, who is in the coast guard. I usually get to see her at least once a year, and this time I got to take photos of her adorable kids! Kaleb is almost three, and Noah is just shy of six months. They both have the cutest, pinchable cheeks!

Even though Kaleb is not very sure of his new big-brother role, we did manage to bribe him into taking some photos with his little bro. Don’t you just want to kiss those lovable cheeks?

I miss you already, Brina!
