About Me

Hi, I'm Jessica, and I want to be your family's photographer!

Photography has always been a passion of mine. Growing up, my friends could always count on me to be the one who always had her camera. That transitioned into working on the high school yearbook staff, and now to capturing and preserving your family's memories.

In addition to photography, I enjoy video games, traveling, and FOOD. Cake is my favorite food (perhaps this is one reason I love weddings so much), but don't feed me lettuce; I can't stand it! I used to be an avid cosplayer (that means I handmade costumes of my favorite video game/anime/movie characters and wore them to conventions), but now I mostly just enjoy looking at other people's handiwork.

I also adore blogging, so be sure to subscribe to keep up with my ramblings and current photos. And, if I look familiar, it's because I was (am) Ms. Fondue over at Weddingbee.

I'm based in Nashville, Tennessee, but I do love to travel, so don't hesitate to contact me if you live elsewhere. You can find me on Twitter and Facebook, or just email me!

Hanging Out on Legislative Plaza

A few weeks back, I attended a photowalk set up by the folks over at i heart faces. It was bitterly cold outside, below freezing, so I peaced out a little early. However, I did manage to get some nice shots over at Legislative Plaza. (Um, it was the first place we went. I hate the cold, okay?)

It was neat to try to see an area that I’ve been a bunch of times in a different light.

An Afternoon with Ceti Alpha 5 – Nashville Band Photography

You’ve seen my Sunday morning session, and here is the second one I did that day. On Sunday afternoon, I drove over to Crossville to meet up with the band Ceti Alpha 5. We headed over to the Lake Tansi Dam for these shots.

Alli’s Maternity Session – Nashville Maternity Photography

This is the first of two sessions I had today. I’m exhausted but had a great time! Alli is 38 weeks along and bravely navigated Centennial Park this morning, along with her husband Mike. Here’s a small preview of some of the great images we got!

Sharley’s Maternity Shoot – Nashville Maternity Photography

Sharley is my oldest friend; we’ve known each other since elementary school. I was so happy for her when she announced she was pregnant and welcomed the opportunity to get some great maternity shots before her baby shower in a few weeks. I’m still editing the photos, but here’s a preview of the session.

It seems like every photo I have of her from high school, she’s sticking her tongue out. So I love this one.

What’s this white stuff?

I hope everyone had a fun, safe snow weekend! The Nashville area certainly got more snow that I’ve seen in years. I tried to build a snowman, but (on Saturday, at least) I couldn’t get anything to stick. I’ve been a little jealous of all the snowmen I’ve seen since.

I even let Oscar go outside to see what was up. I’m pretty sure now he has no inclination to go outside again ever.

Anyone have any good snow stories?
