About Me

Hi, I'm Jessica, and I want to be your family's photographer!

Photography has always been a passion of mine. Growing up, my friends could always count on me to be the one who always had her camera. That transitioned into working on the high school yearbook staff, and now to capturing and preserving your family's memories.

In addition to photography, I enjoy video games, traveling, and FOOD. Cake is my favorite food (perhaps this is one reason I love weddings so much), but don't feed me lettuce; I can't stand it! I used to be an avid cosplayer (that means I handmade costumes of my favorite video game/anime/movie characters and wore them to conventions), but now I mostly just enjoy looking at other people's handiwork.

I also adore blogging, so be sure to subscribe to keep up with my ramblings and current photos. And, if I look familiar, it's because I was (am) Ms. Fondue over at Weddingbee.

I'm based in Nashville, Tennessee, but I do love to travel, so don't hesitate to contact me if you live elsewhere. You can find me on Twitter and Facebook, or just email me!

365 Project in 2010!

I rarely ever set new year’s resolutions. Typically, I set some goals to happen before my next birthday. Some of this year’s included going to Europe and watching “Citizen Kane”. Before my next birthday, I need to go skydiving and learn to knit. But as I was looking over my list, I realized I didn’t really have any photography goals set for the upcoming year.

Therefore, I decided to do a 365 Project. If you are unfamiliar, basically I plan on taking a picture every day for the next year. Some people set a topic for this, like they have to be photos of yourself or photos of trees or something. I figured I would start small and just require myself to take A photo. I’ll be posting all of them on my Facebook page, and I’ll share my favorites here as well.

What resolutions or goals are you setting for 2010?

Cards are here!

Now you can create holiday cards, birth announcements, thank you cards and more right from your own password-protected gallery.

On your gallery page, select “Create a Card” from the Buy menu. This will take you to the card creation page.

card1

Once it loads, choose the type of card (either 4×8 flat or 5×7 folded) and the category of cards to browse.

card2

The card choices will be presented. Once you decide on one, the Photos tab will present you with all the photos from your gallery. Choose the one you want and drag it to any photo area on the card (some cards may allow for more than one photo).

card3

When you are happy with how your card looks, click on the Create tab. This will allow to add the amount you want to your shopping cart. All cards come with appropriate sized envelopes.

Feel free to check out the different types of cards by following these directions in the Portfolio gallery!

Issues with contact form

There may have been some issues with the contact form on the site; it seemed to be working sporadically. I have removed the form for now, so just email me directly to contact me. If you sent a message via the form in the past, please email me directly, as I may not have received it. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Now with better integration!

I finally did what I’ve been meaning to do for weeks.

If you click on the Portfolio (or Clients) link in the navigation menu, you’ll notice that SmugMug (where online galleries are kept and purchases can be made) has been integrated into the site design! If you notice any issues, please let me know, but I have checked it in Firefox, IE, and Safari without noticing any issues. :)

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Here’s a shot I got of my niece at my family’s Thanksgiving dinner. Isn’t she precious?
